Pixel started out as a small shop in Tehran’s main shopping center for digital hardware in 2004. It was founded by the late Enayatollah Jamali Monfared, as a family business. He put a high emphasis on etiquette and moral codes in business, thus only highly-recommended and trusted products were offered by Pixel. Enayatollah’s sons were active in the computer hardware market earlier, and that helped them gain a better understanding of the ever-growing digital market and costumer demands. This proved vital in giving better services to customers.
In 2007, Pixel started recruiting young talented employees to extend its services and thus became Pixel Group. It started its branding and advertising campaigns and soon became a well-known name among photography enthusiasts and professionals. Arguably, no other Iranian reseller of photography equipment has published more ads.
Such efforts became a trademark of Pixel. Pixel was the first provider to introduce products such as Zeiss SLR lenses, Tokina lenses, Phottix products (which Pixel is the only sales representative in Iran), Eneloop batteries, HDSLR rigs and accessories, and many more equipment to the Iranian audience.
In 2011, due to high demands and the need for giving services to all Iranians, Pixel Group started its online store at www.pixel.ir. This ever-developing website is currently the largest online shop for photography equipment in Iran. During this time of economic crisis, when other players folded out of the game, Pixel thought of development and growth.
Cultural efforts have always been part of what the Pixel Group is known for. Publishing free articles, leaflets, films, student loans, and charity work are part of Pixel’s cultural endeavor.
Pixel will never go out of the reseller market, but is always ready to work with manufacturers to provide the best products.
